Wood Carving Class

Come on out to Chadwick’s Craft Spirits/Doom Forest Distillery on June 8th for a class in carving and whittling wood. Whittling is fun, inexpensive, can be done everywhere, (ok perhaps not on a plane), and anyone can do It. 

The class is from 1:30 to 3pm.  The cost is $12.00 for those whittling and $5.00 for those who just want to sit and learn.  The class size for those using the knives is limited to 15.  All wood is provided but the student is required to bring a very sharp knife with a blade no longer than 1.5” and a protective glove for the off hand.  SIGN UP HERE - Sign up here

The class will cover in brief: wood anatomy, wood selection, knife types and selection.  And a bit on knife sharpening. Just enough to get us started, then the fun starts and we hope for some of you, the beginning of a lifelong addition.  You will learn basic cuts and how to use them, grips, and "oops I screwed up! now what do I do?!" Hopefully, you will leave the class a completely whittled wizard.  Skip will also have a stack of resources both printed and online for you to look at after the class.

***Most activities will take place outside, please dress/plan accordingly. We do have a dirt driveway, so things may be muddy! We recommend carpooling if you can.

Carols and Reindeer Games

Join Pat Shepard in celebrating the holiday season. Pat will have reindeer games, which including Oven Mitt Unwrap, Trivia, Oreo Dunk, and more! We'll also gather around and spread cheer by singing carols together. The bar will be open for drinks, too. Weather dependent event.

Gnome Making (SIGN UP)

Gnome making at Chadwick's Craft Spirits will take place on SUNDAY, DEC. 3rd! This year we are asking those who want to come make a gnome to SIGN UP as we have a limited number of supplies available. By filling out the form you are reserving your spot to show up ANYTIME between 10am - 2pm on Sunday, Dec. 3rd.

- We can take cash or card.
- The gnome making events take place OUTSIDE and are WEATHER DEPENDENT. If we need to cancel due to unsafe weather conditions, we will make the decision the day before.
- Since we are making gnomes outside, we recommend that you bring gloves and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and dress warm.
- We will have our fire pits and heaters on to help keep us cozy and you can step inside the tasting room to warm up.
-Weather dependent event, we will make a decision the day before if we need to cancel/reschedule.

Our annual whiskey and wreath making events are back at the tasting room! A do-it-yourself wreath making event while you enjoy a glass of Chadwick's, you can design and build your own wreaths for the holidays.

We welcome you to stop by anytime between 10am & 2pm. There is no need to pre-register for the wreath events.

We will provide the boughs, wreath frame, floral wire and instructions on how to attach the boughs to the frame. Some decorations will be provided too (bows and pine cones - while supplies lasts). Please feel free to bring any additional decorative elements that you would like to add (dried flowers, ribbon, faux berries etc.)

*COST IS: $30/person includes wreath and (1) One Chadwick's Cocktail. We can take cash or card.

Spin Class with Elevated Cycle

We've teamed up with Elevated Cycle to bring SPIN CLASS to Pittston!
