Snake Den

     There are 9 species of snakes found in Maine.  None of them are venomous.  Although snakes of any size can be disarming to come across, they play a vital part in any food chain, and often eat other animals, such as rats, that are far more destructive.  

     Life can be tough as a snake though.  This is an interesting clip of Larry describing the naturally made "snake den" he constructed to help give them a hand.
