The Drought of 2016

     Not only did last winter have some of the lowest snowfall in recent memory, Spring and Summer have been the driest in at least 50 years.  For people like Larry Chadwick, this kind of drought is particularly noticeable, but anyone with eyes would be able to see the drought's effects.  

     Take a look at these two videos.  This first one was filmed in early June, as Larry in just starting to note the drastic lack of water in what was once a thriving stream of Brook Trout.

     The next video was shot today.  It's not the exact same location, but still on Larry's land.  Notice the huge empty trench that used to be a riverbed not long ago.
